Hi,
got an sealed, old 30,5m roll of Orwo PF2 - DS8 - that came with my ebay Quarz DS8. There is no Din / ASA rate printed on the can....
The filmotec.de website says it is a positive Cine film.
Can someone tell me more about this emulsion? I know it is a b/w or? How can I shoot it? I`ve read once, that a few guys use b/w print-films on low asa rates and got very sharp images. Developing should`nt be that problem, use my lomo tank, got perfect results with the other old orwo cine films (UP15, UP21, UP27).
Thanks, Stefan

Hi,
it's a black&white print film. It's a material that the prints in the cinema are made of when copied from a negative. (=It's a negative film that's suited to turn an image from a negative film-stock into a positive image. As a negative-filmstock isn't exactly an inverted image, the print-film behaves differently than a negative-film.)
It has got a completely different contrast-range, ... than a reversal or negativ film stock.
You won't find any ASA-rate as the film's only purpose is to be used in a film-duplicating machine. So you'll only find the settings for such a machine (e.g. some settings for some fuji print film - under "Printing":
