The Super-8 Film Stock Jitter Poll Question...

Post by Alex »

Are all Film Stocks Created equal when it comes to Jitter?

The following poll is difficult because I believe one can only vote for one selection? Therefore, read all the choices and see which one most closely matches your situation.

I'm very open to rewording the poll if that will help make it more substantive.
Your comments may prove as valuable as your vote, so please consider commenting if you feel more than one choice was in order.

Just wonder if you can add custom loaded carts, Provia F400D by PRO8mm was very jittery but I do belive it is a film material issue.

What did the F500T look like jitterwise?

Sorry.
I think you have to delete it all and start all over again. (Possibly a new posting)
Seem like a Windows issue - I assume you are on a MAC?

I had this problem befor when I tried to alter a poll.

i myself never had that problem, but my girlfriend at the time wanted to try out super 8 for herself, and every cart she had jittered! Poor girl-long story short, it put her off of super 8 forever.

The only problem I have ever had was with both K40 and Ektachrome, but I put this down to my Nizo pro.

All the Pro8 stock I have used has been rock steady.

I had some K40 returned yesterday which was rock steady too.

My jitter always comes with K40. I neveer had the problem with Ekta, Plus - X, or Tri - X. Nothing wrong with the cameras either.

I've only every had two bad cartridges, years ago and both K40.

On a different but related note, I went on vacation to Belize about a month ago and the ten cartridges of film (8 K40, 2 Plus-X) I shot there came back. All of them were fine except for one that was completely black (K40). I don't know whether to blame the cartridge, the film, the camera, or Dwayne's.
