Corporate Video

Post by Pj »

Hi

I need some advice, I am shooting a corporate video, the final piece will be about 10 minutes long. I want to shoot it on Super 8, including all the interviews and cutaways. The camera/s I am using are either the Bauer A512 or the Bauer 715XL, or both and I want to use Vision 2 200T, but I am worried about underexposing the film as I will be filming in large spaces and interiors where there wont be that much light, place like Church Halls. I don't want to use 500 asa film because I think it will be much grainier, but will the 200T be just as grainier in poor light or would I be better off using something like 64T?

Thanks.

Get your hands on a KRASNOGORSK K-3 or Canon SCOOPIC 16mm camera
and shoot the wide shots on the 16mm camera. Vision2 200T Super 8mm will hold up fine for the medium and close up shots. It looks especially nice in closeups lit with KINO FLO tungsten flourescents. Send me your email address and I'll send you excerpts from a TV commecial that I shot on Vision2 200t
super 8.

I recently shot a wedding whereas I push processed Vision2 200T to 400 ASA and it turned out great, i.e. good color rendition and much less grainy than Vision3 500T I have shot in he past. Although I exposed between f/stop 16 + 22 the majority of the footage looked great ...with the exception when I panned across the open sun which resulted in the extreme DOF suddenly snapping the dust on my lens into sharp focus! Lesson learned.

If you can shoot within a range of f4/5.6/8 at 400 ASA you will still have very nice footage with 200T.

If you can afford it shoot some tests.
