Re: Good News. Kodak killing Vision2 5218/7218
Whilst I hope that V3 will be out in S8 I can't help but think that they will kill it. Kodak has a 100% rate of contradiction with me. They tell me one thing one day and the next they tell me another. At the end of the day it is kinda funny. 10 years ago I could never get Fuji to give me a straight...

Re: Super16 analysis projector
Hi, I recently took delivery of a Lafeyette analysis projector which is I believe based a Kodak design and very similar to a LW projector gifted to my friends and I. However this projector has a Super16 gate, which is very interesting and I'm guessing pretty rare but I only shoot regular 16mm - boo...

Re: Super16 Telecine to HD
What I would recommend is doing a "flat" SD transfer, perhaps even an anamorphic DV one, then cutting the project, then go back in and concentrate on the sections that are important in a Spirit session. That's the way 90% of any HD project I've ever seen would do it. Secondly, skip tape a...

Re: Super16 Telecine to HD
Get a general flat Xfer to HDCam and then do your online off of the HDCam. From there you can take the tape and blow up. It looks good. I've had my stuff done that way. It will be cheaper than scanning. Good Luck Nigel, what do you mean by general flat Xfer? It sounds a good idea though Well Uppsal...

Re: Super16 Telecine to HD
I'm confused. Are you looking to get an HD xfer or something beyond HD?? If you are looking for something like a 2/4k scan were you get TIFFs back then I am not surprised that you are being quoted what you are. Good Luck Well, it's natural, i'm also a litlle confused, what i want is to have the mos...

A friend of mine is shooting a film with a JVC HD with a JVC lens converter for using PL super16 lenses He's using two type of lens, a fixed 7mm Panther and a angenieux zoom 11mm-138mm He didn't have any trouble with the panther, But the zoom lens has some distortion on the right side of the frame, ...

I've been using FOMAPAN for some years now, and i don't use any kit, i make my own chemicals and the results are great, As a matter of facti, i never achieved such results with Kodak, FOMAPAN has strong black, strong white and midtones like not many other stocks, I'll get a frame of a film someday ...
