If you want to see good and creative usage of Super 8 and 16mm film check out R.E.M's Tourfilm video or DVD. It's an entire concert shot on just Super 8 and 16 and looks really cool!! colour and black and white....i cant tell the difference between super 8 and 16 on this...super 8 looks so good!

On their Louder Than War DVD, concert footage shot on 35mm
(i think...looks quite filmic!?!) and a documentary following the band around Cuba, shot on Super 8 and looks cool!!
Finally a question....Manic's Design For Life music promo has got a very scratched beat up film look. it looks good, is it Super 8?? the quality of the picture looks too good sometimes and then on other shots it looks sort of Super 8ish. Anyone know about this? The Director was Pedro Rohamyni i think.
