Single-8 film - buying and processing

Post by Lunar07 »

I understand that Retro in Japan has a good line of Single-8 film. It looks like they do the processing too.
What is the status of Single-8 in the USA? Are there any places that sell and process Single-8 film?
I checked http://www.single8film.com and it looks abandoned and dead.

EDIT: Actually this answers my question - I just checked Retro web pages and it looks like they have a nice package that includes selling film, return shipping, and processing all in one package. Can not find anything in the USA.

Hi,

yes, unfortunately single8film.com is dead since approx. 2009. So Retro8 or some European shops will probably be your only chance to get film. (Due to shipping costs, ... Retro8 might be the cheapest supplier in your case.)

I was about to sell my Fujica ZC1000. Retro8 saved it. They have good packages. I have not done SIngle-8 in a while. I think I am going to give it a try again.
