strawberry super 8

Post by Thierry »

The festival starts in a couple of days now.

Thanks to everybody who send some films.

The programme is now available on http://www.strawberry-super8.org

Hope to meet some of you this week-end.

It's the first time we organize this event, so we will try to improve for next year.

sorry mattias, we have plenty of spelling mistakes in our programme.

I managed to correct some but not all, we will try to do better next year.

hey, i checked out the winners. a shift in perfection seems like a very worthy winner from what i've seen of it. where can i see the other winning films though? they are all completely new to me, which is promising since so many of the films in the program were the usual suspects, known from here, other fests and super 8 websites.

So 'A shift in Perception' won! Great stuff. Well done Dan. this film is a real delight. and quite a mature work, illustrating a delicate sensibility. It augers well for the festival that a film like this can win.
Super!

I want to show Chantel's Lebanon film at the Brief Encounters Super-8 Cities screening. I also want to do a 'best of the fest' in Bath, but perhaps not such a convenient place for a Swede!

hi guys,

thanks to everyone who submitted films, We were very impressed at the selection committee by the quality and quantities of the films.

We hope that you will send more Super 8 films for next year festival.

In the coming months, our big project is to put together a best of the fest programme which could go on tour round the world.

If you have any connection with festivals, local cinemas, etc. please get in touch with us, it will be a great opportunity to promote our festival and Super 8 in particular.

All the best

Thierry and the selection committee

thanks to you all for your kind words about my film 'a shift in perception'. i'm always thrilled to hear it's being enjoyed overseas... any awards are really just a bonus. i'm looking forward to making my next super8 flick for the Citizen Super8 project now, I can tell you. yet to start shooting... we're meeting with our subject early next week.

Sorry I couldn't make it to this event... getting to England from Australia is no mean feat (at least on the wallet).
