Hi Scot,
that someone is me! and the cost is $18Aus plus postage and film is returned lubricated, on a 50'spool and with head and tail with white leader. Let me know if you want me to do any for you. This is a hobby business a la martin Baumgarten. my email for processing is:
richtuo@iprimus.com.au
The Innersense site is run by Bill Mousoulis. He was the founder of the Melb super 8 group back in the early 80's. He was a big influence on my own narrative style in the late 80's. Bill made a whole swag of super8 features, but now works on DV.
Cheers,
Richard

Hi Richard ah wow - small world! I might take you up on that -- haven't got any 64t yet though - but I might give one or two rolls ago - what does it generally retail for here in Australia? - I haven't looked into it yet.
I am aware of Bill's work - here's a thread about him from a while back - quite a legend - wish he'd put some of his film's on dvd.

Hi Scotness,
Hey where abouts are you located?
I called Kodak the other day getting their new postal address, and the lady was saying there has been a big demand for 64T in Australia. She was saying it was quite surprising. Anyway a roll of 64T from kodak is $20 but you gotta buy 4 or 5 rolls...
Im currently trying to film my film idea in Melbourne, but am struggling with the weather..... How very Melbourne like.

It is a small world - but I would hate to have to paint it!
On Super8, Bill used a very low shooting ratio 2.5 or even 2:1. He also has a great capacity to ellicit favour from people - I don't think he ever hires anything! His style of naturalism is very flexible regarding locations and actors and costumes etc. He has had a few periods of being in debt a few thousand. He has also received a few grants here and there - script development and the like. A small grant can go a long way. He got 10 or 12K recently and spent some on an HD DV Cam ...
Kodak only sell 64t in lots of 5 - for $110 delivered (I guess it is $100 if you can claim gst some how). I am intending to set up to supply individual rolls for $22 shortly.
I too can can-can
Cheers,
Richard

Hi guys thanks for that - I'll buy a few rolls in a few weeks.
Richard - does Bill have any of his films on dvd? - it's funny how a few of us here talk about our little features on Super 8 - and he's made what 4 or 5??! It'd be great to see some or all!
Martin - I'm in Brisbane - no problems about the weather here  Actually winter is probably the best time to film in Brisbane (and probably all Qld for that matter) it's usually about 25 degrees celsius and sunny with very litle rain. The air is clearer too without the humidity and so the long distance views are better. In summer it's wetter, humid and hotter. Some how most of my projects seem to end up being shot in summer  the only ones I've done in winter seem to involve going in water......I've really got to look at this.....

another aussie checking in
Hi guys, thought I'd check in as another Super8 junkie... I'm in Adelaide. I saw on ebay an aussie guy (think he was in canberra) who hobbie-develops B&W emulsions... you know him? I'll be in touch Richard as soon as I've shot some Ektachrome64T... got some Kodachrome to burn through in a hurry first!

Hi Dagman,
Richard Tuohy here. Bring on your 64t when your ready. New email for 'nano lab' is 'nanolab@iprimus.com.au'
Can now do 64t as 40 or 160asa if wanted. Pushed beyond 160 I think the results are a little too grainy to be useful. Not too bad at 160 though, and works well with 40/160 cameras.

Yet another Super8er in Melbourne
Hi Folks,
Just thought I'd say there's another Super8 user in Melbourne (me). I bought 5 rolls of E64 recently, but haven't had a chance to use it yet either due to the weather. I have 3 rolls of K40 ready to send off for processing. One's 20 years old so I'm not expecting much from it.
From the Kodak site it looks like 200T is now available here. Hoping to try it out soon.
Anyone know the most convenient place to get regular 8 in Aus? I've got a nice Bolex H8 with primes that I'd like to try out just for old time's sake.
Cheers,

Oops
Sorry Guys,
When I looked again at the Kodak site it said "Australia" under the Kodak logo, but when I looked closely at the URL it contained "/US/".
So Kodak! You have a bug in your site! To replicate the bug, try starting out in "US", go to "Cinematography" then to "Products" then "change" to "Australia". "Australia" appears under the "Kodak" logo, but the URL still says:
http://wwwau.kodak.com/US/en/motion/pro ... =0.1&lc=en
So 200T aint available in Aus after all, enev though (sometimes) the site says that it is!
I guess we will have to make do with E64 for awhile!
Cheers
