filter thread on angenieux lens?

Post by mathis »

hi all,

i have an angenieux 1:1,9/8-64 lens with 55mm front diameter. i bought some m55 filters off ebay and was surprised it´s not able to screw them on. but the original lens cover screws on tightly, so i can´t believe the thread is broken...
does angenieux lenses have special filter threads? or should normal m55 filters fit well?

best regards,
- m

Hi Mathis.

Filter size for Angenieux 1,9/8-64 is a Serie 7 filter. This filter shall be fitted in between the two parts that is the "sunshade"/filterholder. The tread on the front of the lens is 46,5mm.
On your 1,2/6-80 Angenieux you shall use Serie 8 filter in the holder, tread on front of 1,2/6-80 lens is 62mm.
