Aren't you two (S8 Booster and Sparky) really comparing apples and oranges?
Yes, but he made very silly claim.

This is getting absurd. What exactly is so advanced about the 1014 that it can be called "more advanced" than a 435? Rather than disputing clear evidence of the 435's level of advancement, why don't you state clearly what makes the 1014 so astonishing.

no its not by a huge margin - you dont know what you are talking about at all - sorry
Really? Its a galvanometer- couldn't be quicker. I believe you are wrong, but I haven't bothered to measure it. Neither do I think its important- in fact I see it as a problem most of the time.

spare me please.

this is not high tech at all dont you understand that?
No- I don't.

Mark
too bad

Sparky wrote:
it very simple mechanical design. either your cam is designed for that from the start or it is not. the 1014 is not but it has nothing to do with high end cam technology. get sober - please.
Please explain what exactly is SO advanced about the 1014? It does nothing exceptional as far as I can see.
Mark
then you have a problem

I agree, but that was not your point was it? Have you been taking lessons from Alex?

Mark
too complex that too?

whose alex?

too complex - i have tried many times before but for no use. if you search my old posts on the 1014 xls you will find some of this but it takes hell of a lot of knowledge to get into it. never posted the most complex parts - the simple stuff was too much anyway.

something about the number of legs on an IC, which is obviously very important, "full circle engineering", and the lens coating which is apparently better than anything ever produced ever or ever to be produced, IIRC.

I give up.

Your impersonation of British nobility might be cheesy, annoying, and obtrusive, yet at times one might consider you a melodic poet or lyricist.

I love the looks of my Bolex P1. It got a lot of attention this Summer, when I filmed in several public locations.
