R8 footage included on Rocky SE DVD

I just rented the Rocky SE DVD the other night and was watching the
special featurettes. One of them featured about ten minutes of R8 footage of Sylvester Stallone and Carl Weathers choreographing the fight scenes from the movie.

The footage made for interesting watching. The colors were clear, crisp, and sharp with very little grain. Being mostly unfamiliar with R8, I have no clue as to what film stock they used.
