Super8Booster,
Being one of those "anonymous guests" you appear to despise, I apologise if my above post caused you (or anyone else) offense.
Contrary to what you may think, .... ....... .... ....so IMO if you don't having anything constructive to say, why say it at all?
regards,
Broken
Not particulary pointing at you but generally about negative responce AND beeing anonymous which might be to much for someone like me who has been a jury member of amateur film contests for many years.
There are some simple golden rules of thumb for this:
- personal dislike of the film theme migh be mentioned within in the jury but not weighted.
- for each negative comment there should be 2 positive comments, the 2 good ones put first.
Follow these rules and I think every amateur filmmaker will buy constructive critisism which can be good to improve a film.
Amateur filmmaking is a very personal form of art. No one makes these films for money in the first place only for a genuine interest in filmmaking. Serious amateur filmmaking like this one is so exhaustive and demanding that purely negative comments are not what these guys need especially if it is way out of focus.
I sincerely recommend the nut-heads to stay out of this topic and rather start your own nut topic and see how many filmmakers here who joins in. Be creative sort of, because I am pretty sure you never ever made a "FILM".
