As you may know, we lucky ones in Europe have this film already. One seller is Wittner in Germany.

I spoke recently to Kodak Motion picture imaging in the UK and they told me that the Vision2 500T was being manufactured as we spoke. However they are NOT releasing the other 500T stocks in super8. I think this is where the confusion may be.

Oh, and apparently the grain is halved over the standard vision 500T.

Anyone know when Vision 2 200T is coming out in Europe?

Is the grain halved in this stock as well as 500T when compared with the old Vision 200T?

The guy at Kodak said that no decision had been made as regards Vision2 200T, but it was not out of the question. Their decision may be infulenced by the sales of the Vision2 500T.

Pro8 are releasing the Vision 2 stocks: 100T, 200T and 500T in their own carts next month, or on spools of 200ft or more on request.

2 new 500 asa films Pro8/29 and Pro8/18.  Release date  April 1st 2004.

One of them may be an expression variant.

Absolutely, and this is the one not being released with Kodak branding.

You will probably find that, as with the current vision 200T, the pro8 Vision2 500T will have been loaded by Kodak and re-branded. You will be able to tell when reaching the end of the film and "exposed" is printed just like K40 and the other Kodak branded stocks. The other stocks only offered by pro8 (and loaded by pro8) the end is just cut off at an angle.

This is no problem though, just an observation.
