super 8 pressure plate on EBAY

I'm selling my authentic super 8 pressure plate on EBAY. Buy it now for $100. I have used it with excellet results on my Nizo Intergral 5, Canon 514xls, Sankyo em 60xl, and Minolta Sound 84. By the way, I am also selling these cameras in h next few days. They are all like new and fully tested. I am moving up to 16mm.

whilst we're on the topic of pressure plates...

Could someone please explain what they are, how they work, are they necessary & what cameras you can use them in?
