Ektachrome in hand!

Post by silverhalide »

Ok, it's not cine film, but I still think this is noteworthy. I was at Central Camera in Chicago today and I was surprised to see E100 on the shelf. It was the new stuff, and it had arrived less than an hour before I did. They didn't have any S8 yet, so I bought 35mm. Plan to shoot first roll on Wednesday.

Wow a real camera store with real cameras. Spectacular. Must be one of few left in USA. Action Camera in San Francisco closed about 5 years ago. The last one in SF.

John, haven’t you ever thought of opening a store?

I guess that means Portland has most of em (we have at least 5 camera stores which sell film and film-cameras, 3 of them nearly exclusively)

Based on the receipt, they are $12+ a roll?
With Columbia college in the area, and the shop being downtown, there is enough support for this place.
