New filmscanner from Germany

Post by Andreas Wideroe »

Anyone heard of this before?

http://www.korn-manufaktur.de/index.html

Seems to cover all formats in 2K and 4K and looks to be pretty much focused on post-produduction and workflow.

Price is around $ 50K I think.

Haven't heard of this one before, but the address is the same as Andec's, and Andec offers all those scanning etc. services.

Certainly is a stylish machine. Haven't seen one like it before.

Agreed.

Totally love the retro-modern design of it. Looks awesome! :)

Cool! Looks like a mini Kinetta ($200K). Looks like the real deal based on the specs, but at what cost. If it's not priced for individuals yet, it's really nothing new.

Without the work station, it costs around 55,000 Euros which is pretty darn good if your a post house, but not priced for an individual. It's kind of a tease because it looks like something an individual film maker or small production company would have, small and stylish. I know it sounds crazy now, but i'd like to see a machine like this for around $2500-$3500 that any film maker of small production outfit could own.
