Hi Folks, been gone a while due to work etc and not seeming to have any free time or cash these days. Anyhow - this issue really caught my eye so...

As a fan of long train journeys, adventure, and being based in the UK, I'm happy to step into the breach and make a personal call if someone wants to furnish me with the details of his address etc, who to forward it all on to afterwards etc...

Time is ticking- we've got til December to get it to Dwayne's...and I'm damn curious to see everyone's results!

BTW, I hope (for his sake) that the last comment was a joke...

Looking at this stark reality. What if we never find this guy?

Perhaps it would be prudent for someone reliable to start a new PTC project with what Kodachrome is left over and everyone can follow a tight schedule to get it done in time. It would be something like "PTC PLAN B".

I think we CAN find this guy and I'm impressed with Mucky Muck for having the time and the balls to track this bloke down.

That said, if this doesn't work, I say we start anew with a roll of VELVIA and only members interested in submitting say, $30 usd - refundable once you send your cart to the next guy in line -- to particpate.

Man, that's a good idea.

Hey Muckymuck, thanks for stepping up on this.

I'll send you a PM with both mojohey's address and my address for shipping the material. I've sent him notes explaining that I'll pay for the shipping costs to mail everything, but at this point I think it would be better if you just confiscated all the stuff. I will then reimburse you for the postage if you can pack it up and send it to me.

Please stay in contact and let me know what is going on so I can keep up the pressure, if necessary.

Sounds good but isn't it a bit tricky to drop in without announcement? February is popular for the winter holidays. Then there are plenty other possibilities why people aren't at home when you randomly ring the doorbell :)
Kind regards,

When I wrote to Morris he didn't reply. That would have been a few months after things went silent for the first time. I wrote a very careful letter, mindful of the possibility that ill-health could have visited him or his family and any number of things get in the way of hobbies.

Its a shame. I know he's said that he did suffer ill-health and that he's busy...so it is perhaps time that he hands the films over to somebody else before its too late.

Good luck finding him, Muckymuck!

Here's a link from British Telecom for looking up phone numbers:

P.S. - I never took part in PTC but after following this thread I really do want to see it.

Its interesting the way distances are perceived between Europe and N.A. I've crossed the Rockie Mountains in a single day and thought nothing of it. But when I was in England it was like pulling teeth to get my cousins to drive me to Stone Henge which was only 90 minutes away!

I wasn't involved with this project but I recall when it started and I'm really interested now to see this come to fruit. Especially now that Kodachome is a vanished film stock, the historical-international aspect of PTC is intriguing.

Obviously the gentleman feels some guilt over the thing getting forgotten but it seems clear that he's got a lot of other things going on in life, possibly serious. I suggest sending him a funny get well card or something, people don't get mail as much and some humor to the situation might motivate him.

Not a bad idea at all. Use humor to diffuse the situation and get the intended results (we hope).

Recieved this PM from mojohey (!) this morning:
mojohey wrote:Hi Tim,

The remaining films are still with Dwaynes. I'll contact you again when they come back.

Mo.
So, he is alive. And he knows we're looking for him to get the material back. Whether he stays focused and actually proceeds with following through with the task is another story.

But he has had to have read this thread and knows that we mean business. And that we will go to some extreme lengths to get the footage and finish the project. Maybe this will work.

I will keep the pressure on through PM inquiries here and at the other service sites he goes around. Hopefully he keeps his word.

Thanks for finding and linking this Ian--the address listed there is, in fact, different than the one we have (snatched off the photo of the mailers posted above). So this might further complicate things if mojohey doesn't follow through as promised. We'll see.

http://maps.google.com/maps?q=33+Hemphi ... earch+Maps

But good to have another address just in case Muckymuck has to pay him a visit. And maybe I'll go ahead and try the phone number, just to see what happens.
