New Video- S16 Bleach Bypassed

Scroll down to super 16 Jib Jam, bottom of that post is the video as well as some still and other info.

Super 16mm 250D and 500T bleach bypassed.
Bolex rex 5 w/ 16-100 POE zoom and 5.9 angenieux lens.

(had a bug with video, reposted it with Adobe media encoder- Flash 600kb/s 320x240ish). Not a bad encoder, a little bit of ghosting.

Sweet footage. So, is this Bolex modified to super 16??? If so, where was this done? I see a few places online, but if you have recommendations...

That's bad-ass man. Great images!

Curious, how long can you film on one crank at 24p?

Another great job.
the bleach bypass, you requested under development or have applied in post-production?

it says "bleach bypass processing" so i guess it was on the neg? i've never tried that, only on prints, but it looks great. a weird but bold and cool choice for footage containing that much snow. looks like reversal but with less grain, lower saturation, and without the deep blacks.

It's a nice efect - but I'm not entirely sure it suits the subject matter - it typically gives it an aged/distanced look - and I'm not sure if that suits this. Not saying it's wrong - just different taste!

Cool, thanks for the comments.
I'll be bleach bypassing some super 8s next time I get a chance. Maybe I'll cross-process some 64t with a bleach bypass.. (just thought of that now.. coool.. now I'm excited).

Picked up 2nd place in the telus triple challenge multimedia showcase this weekend. (Lost out to someone shooting with an HVX at 48fps, but I'm not too concerned.. my film had more technical merit, and well.. was just better. Wonder who they had judging it this year...)

Getting royally dumped on this weekend in Ontario, tons of snow. Was working on f/s boardslides again this weekend, scares the crap out of me going backwards down handrails. But it's comin' along. Sessioned a press box for a couple hours today.

Might want to check this out.. it's the AOS freestyle snowboard team that I coached this season. I did a wack of videos for them during the program.
