Re: E6 Times?
Found the thread, was courtesy of Richard down under ;) if using tetenal chemistry, 1 litre can process 5 rolls. Each roll will have different first dev, second dev and blix times. The tetenal booklet that comes with the film will provide enough info to work out these times. They will be something l...

Re: E6 Times?
Thanks, well I thought timings were pretty critical - especially for colour technology?aj wrote:5 seconds time difference on an amount of 375 seconds??? Considering all factors I doubt this will make any noticeable difference.

E6 Times?
Hi, Have posted this in the past but can't find the thread :-o so am re-posting the question, just to be on the safe side. I have two 50' lots of 16mm Kodak Ektachrome 7285 (asa100) to develop. The last advice I had was First Developer time: 6',15" with second processing time at 6',20" and...

Re: DIY Flm Scanning
if you are videoing onto the film gate you shouldn't need a very bright light source, that would also give your transfer 'hot spots'.carllooper wrote: lamp might need some dimming to avoid risk of heat damage to the film

Re: DIY Flm Scanning
Thanks!! The bellows front element controls the focus, and the sliding baseplate that the camera is mounted to effects the zoom. I used to have a two directional setup for a while that the whole rail system was attached to, which allowed control towards and away from the film plane (zoom) as well a...

Re: DIY Flm Scanning
Looks nice like the bellows on the cam, does that function as a zoom here? The Eiki has a roomy lamphouse which must be a boon ;)

Frame-by-frame capture? Folks do that, the Edwardian Turner film experiment was finally realised by way of single frame imagery set in motion on a computer. It's a great shame they didn't attempt the experiment in real time however, we may never know if Turner's experiment had a hope of working on t...

Re: Foma 100 filming in 90 degrees of heat?
Here at length is the footage. If anything it's slightly under exposed. I wonder why this is? Is it that the colossal zoom lens on the K-3 eats up light up compared with my hand-held light meter which just meters raw, ambient luminance?

Re: DIY Flm Scanning
A Kodak carousel lens gets me even closer - reduces the aerial space between me and the raw film - with the addition of a couple of macro filters on the Kodak at the film gate end. The challenge with a TQIII is that the lamp house is set so far back into the projector, no reverse lens arrangement I ...

This is what I do - it's still evolving - capture direct to hard drive then edit in software of choice - http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p32/r_i_c_2007/panny-eumig-setup_zps29ac6162.jpg I use a reversed lens on the video camera to transfer 8mm. For 16mm, the film gate is too far away for this ar...
