Re: What reversal Super8 films do you use?
Had some tries with Fomapan R DS8, slitted and loaded by me in Kaccema carts but resulted quite unsteady. Otherwise Kaccema carts work very well: I put in them slitted E100D DS8, and reloaded with Tri-x for making double exposure and the frame was always rock steady. I'm afraid is a problem of Foma...

Re: What reversal Super8 films do you use?
Nowadays Tri-X and Adox for reversal in Super8. Also, I have some Orwo big spools to refill my Kaccemas.
In R8 I still have some E100D.
I'd like to try all that Wittnerstuff but definitely not at those prices plus luxury shipping costs...

Re: Contest of film transfer (frame by frame technique)
Woooow that is amazing transfer. Is ochoypico a machine or a transfer house using one of the above machines? O yeah, I forgot to mention that the contest I propose has also to include those digital technique to increase the quality such as denoise, sharpening, re-color etc something the so called &...

Re: New Danish Super 8 camera to debut in 2014
DS8 is extremely limited in filmstock availability. This would have made no sense to invest money and time in a DS8 cameraPyrodsTechnology wrote:yes, it is great, but i would have preferred a new double super 8 camera with its longer load

Re: Double Super & Standard 8 Stock in US
The problem with Fomapan processing seems to be that it must be processed at 24º C instead of 20º, to avoid that bubbles... I do not process films myself but this seems to be everybody's experience

Re: Need advice on Super 8
Thanks again everyone! I finally went for a 1014E that seems to be in mint condition and tested with film. I love how it looks by the way :) Well done. Over the XLS series, the Electronic have the advantage that you can reduce the shutter angle (150º 75º 37,5º) to control depth of field or...
