Thank God, the forum is back! You couldn´t imagine how bad I felt when noticing that the forum´s gone. If I can´t log in several times a day to read all your subjects - something´s missing in my day-to-day routine.
Thanks Andreas for your efforts and hard work!

Canon DS8 and sound
Finally I´ll start to shoot a short film in two weeks based on a concept from a friend of mine and will use my Canon Double-Super-8 camera. We also record the sound with a miniDisc recorder. Now my question: Does anyone have experience with this camera and recording sound. I mean, how quick does ...

Hey MovieMaker, since you didn't reply to my post in your comeback thread, what about your project of importing the legendary North-Korean S8 stock (may we call it Kimchrome ? :P) to the West? I know, I know... I only translated the words from the German forum where I read about the Kimchrome :wink...

I´ve dealt with them twice and must say that everything turned out okay, though their email response is very slow indeed. Better to call them - if you speak German  They told me that they have small developing machines so they can do their jobs very efficient. Never had to wait for months t...

There´s also the F250T negative stock from Kahl which I will test soon. And someone in a German forum said that GK film will release the V50 also in 16mm and DS8. That´ll be great news for DS8 color stock users. Regarding Francis: I ordered two 122m rolls from him and when the deal fell throug...

Terribly sorry to hear that! When I had the car accident I also got extremely small glass parts into my right eye that can´t be removed without surgery - and even then they aren´t sure to fix it. Now it scratches a lot from time to time. But it´s definitely not as bad as your injury. MovieM...

Welcome back MovieMaker! Sorry to hear about your accident and good to know that you have fully recovered. I thought you were too busy making films and with your business for being absent on this forum. Bill I would never abandon this forum just for business issues  There has to be a real rea...

Glad you are better. Was wondering where you had gone to, and what happened to the juvenile project. Will there be some online clips from that? Thanks for your words. Yes I´m planning to do a lot of pictures during the shoot and will post some here. We´ll use our two Canon DS8 cameras on a co...

Finally back to shoot some film!
After a severe car accident last autumn I´ve finally recovered my strength to hold my beloved movie cameras again  Over the last months I visited this great forum from time to time but wasn´t able to write something because of pain issues when sitting in a chair for a longer period. As yo...

Merry X-Mas...
... to all of you small gauge admirers around the globe!
I know it´s a bit early but I have no access to my comp for the next few days.
May it be a peaceful (Kodachrome) Christmas for you, your family and your friends!
Just the best from Vienna...

Maybe that´s a start: http://www.korea-dpr.com and as another German member mentioned this is a still of a Korean 35mm/16mm emulsion where he thinks the Super8 film has been made on special order: http://www.nordkorea-info.de/images/Film%20Flower%20Girl%20Kopie2.jpg Imagine these colors for a mod...
