Freya, Sorry you've been ill. The little notes advising future cartridges to be sent direct to Swizerland have certianly been inside returned reels since January. There was quite a bit of discussion here, and the issue of whether one can still use Deer Park Road has been raised before. I got one in...

You probably spoke to Florence Presset, who heads up customer service at the Kodak Processing Lab in Switzerland. 8) Well she was very helpful, especially as by the time I got to ring her I just sort of blurted incoherantly, because I didn't know where to start with my story. John do you know if Ko...

This has been the case for some time. I've posted such several times. Kodak has been recommending for some months that super 8 K40 is sent direct to Swizerland. I did get a little note about sending slide film only to switzerland, so I was wondering but heard no announcement about Super8 and no lit...

If you ask kindly, maybe you'll get your answer. Bye Thanks ever so much Etin. I don't speak a word of French very sad...

Re: black stuff
hi. I have a porst ZRS 448 reflex and at the viewfinder (on the outside of the camera) there is a black sort of mould. When i first got the camera i got a pin and took most f it out but i couldn't get it all out so sometimes bits can fall out leaving stains as if you spilt some bie oil. Does anyone...

Actually, looking at the cameras on e-bay, it looks like all the bauers are based on a similar design. It goes off on a wild tangent at some point, and the cameras start to look different but even then there are similarites so perhaps if you have a bauer at all,the pot wll be in the same place!??? l...

Bauer C107XL - fixing the light meter
Hiya all, feeling very poorly today (which is actually an improvement on yesterday), so hope this is vaguely coherant. I have a Bauer C107XL which I mentioned in the light meter thread. The light meter in it seems to respond to light but rather bizzarely it responds far too much, closing up the apet...

I just spoke to a lady in switzerland called Florence. she was really, really, really, nice! She had a beautiful accent too! She was sooooo helpful! Big Shock! She told me that the mail from deer park road is re-directed by Royal Mail (grrrrrr! What was I saying about them earlier!) I had no idea th...

Re: what about this
http://super8wiki.com/index.php/Minolta_XL-401/601_how_to_adjust_meter Is your camera similar to this one? If I'm not mistaken , I swear I can see a light meter mechanism just right of the potentiometer the guy is showing you, it controls the light meter setting, so if your light meter is out, you ...

I found out something bad yesterday. I opened a cart from 2006 and noticed that on the envelope there is a big cross through the list of labs and the swiss address is printed on it. So perhaps Kodak are no longer accepting film at the Deer Park Road address. I've not had any returned or anything but...

Re: VHS vs DVD
The only B&W Anger film I can think of is fireworks. Not my favourite as it is basically Kenneth Anger getting beaten up by sailor boys, but it does have it's moments! ;) I don't think they were reffering to Kenneth Anger sorry. :( Ah, I believe you're right about Anger and B&W. If I recall...
