Too much excitement over super 8 cmaeras and film makes me jump ahead!

A sound Bauer will suffice for your needs. I used a wide angle adapter on a Bauer 305 XLS and was very pleased. Look here for more:

Part of the trouble is getting the film physically in the scanner - for the lightning shot I had to CUT the film (aaaaahhh) and then replice the original footage.
