Remote question
Would anyone here happen to know if the remote switch made for a Nizo 801 can be used with a Canon 814 E without damaging the camera? I don't know the extent to which these things are interchangeable, if they are at all, and wanted to see if I risk anything before trying it out. Any help would be ap...

Not that I'm complaining, but how bizarre that it would be available as Double Super 8 and not Super 8. Great format, but I'm surprised they still support it. Guess its easier since they don't have to put it in cartridges. I too found this to be strange. Perhaps it was one way to test the waters fo...

From what I understand, 100D is already available in double S8 -- according to the folks at Spectra, it is already in Kodak's catalogue. I was also told by Spectra that they will soon be selling 100D in S8, most likely before the year's end. They will be splitting the double S8 stock and selling it ...

Here's a link to Merzbarn's Nizo spec chart. It's a good resource for info on the features of all Nizo models.

Interestingly, I had seen this camera in Trader Jim's shop many months ago. It looked great (as it does in the photos on ebay), but their price on it was pretty high -- several hundred dollars more than your winning bid. I guess it was more than their customers were willing to pay and they decided t...

'Twould seem that it's been moved over to the "For Auction" forum, which is where it should have been posted in the first place, IMHO.

Update for the curious: Ok, I checked out the camera and found the following: the shutter does in fact remain in the open position after a shot, but not always, and not always entirely: sometimes, the shutter stays partially open, sometimes it closes. I'm not sure what might have caused this (the ca...
