Re: Kodachrome II magazine disassembly
1. Is Kodachrome II daylight or tungsten-balanced? The box doesn't say. 2. I'm thinking of sending this to Film Rescue rather than Rocky Mountain Film Lab. RMFL transfers KII in B&W to a videotape; I've heard people rave up and down about the quality of color of KII and I want to experience the...

I have my 814XL-S in one of these (link below). In mine I have the camera, 62mm metal hood, remote control, wide angle lens. And there is still room for more which is going to get used for filters someday. You just need a sharp razor and carefully cut out the pre-diced foam to fit to your preference...

The intervalometer was an optional accessory for this camera. Like the hi-speed pack it slides on the top on the camera and it has a plug that goes in place of the regular trigger. The intevalometer also requires 5 AA battery in addition to the 5 for the hand grip. As for the camera it is very solid...

I use ECCO
I use ECCO film cleaner. It is a fast drying cleaner that cleans and lubricates the film. I know of no proof that cleaners prematurely age film but non lubricated film will suffer scratches and excessive dust when run through a projector a number of times. ECCO is common, I know Urbanski film suppli...

I agree with Paul, Super 8 is the way to go with its quick and easy loading. I would say that you may prefer to shoot at 18 fps so that you get more time (3 min 20 sec) per cartridge. The most important thing is you have to get the camera shoot and develop a test roll first to make sure it works. I ...

minolta d10
Here's what the brochure says for the D12. "The elecromagnetic shutter release permits synchronized sound recording when the D12 and a cassette tape recorder are connected. Portable recorders using the popular two-pin plug may be used to add sound to all D12 made films." Doesn't really tel...
