Re: Your Experiences Using Expired B/W Film
Looking for advise on using long expired Kodak black and white film. If the prior history is not known is it worth bothering with. We're talking film between 20- 40 years old. I have read up as much as possible on the subject but there's not really that much information out there. I guy by the name...

Re: Ektachrome Is Back!
Regards to the price difference between 100' and 400', I would say Kodak wants to encourage people with the semi pro cameras to keep shooting film. With the prediction of the Super 8 cartridge being US$40, maybe US$60 for a roll of 16mm would be likely? If that was the case, 16mm is by far the bett...

Re: 16mm/8mm ghost footage??
For some reason I feel like there’s something inherently supernatural about film, and I’m wondering if anyone has any footage of “ghost” or strange phenomenon caught on film? And if so do you have a link? Or description of the footage? Go look at some 60"s film shot with the help of LSD maybe ...

Re: sony wmd6c Gebuhrmultisyn
Oh, really, it costs so much! It must be a great quality! I use a Philips cassette recorder (I also like sound of audiocassette) connected to the Fujica ZC1000 with the cable that produced the Fuji itself. The recorder starts and stops with the release button of the camera, but the lip sync is a di...

Re: sony wmd6c Gebuhrmultisyn
With this recorder can you get synch audio? Yes ! thats if I can rig a cable up . comes with a year warranty on the walkman which was one of the biggest selling point's for me , which also mean can not tinker to see how the binder 712 5p male cable connector is wired on the inside . plan is to wire...

Re: Tripod Talk
I rather like this string idea, might give it a go ! Yes I can see your point about the fact there's no stabilisation as in video cams. On the other hand I kind of like the handheld effect particularly in grabbing closeups of faces and so on. Although definition isn't going to be optimum at 1/30 se...

Re: Tripod Talk
For a compact discrete camera stabilizer filmers could try using the string method. It involves a length of string, (determined by your height and camera), with one end attached to a small metal plate and the other end to a screw that fits the tripod socket. To use this device one stands on the met...
