Re: What reversal Super8 films do you use?
I just shot a cart of A200D and UN54 I got from John Schwind. Used my Elmo Super110. A200D First half is probably seriously underexposed @ Natural bridge caverns as I wanted to see what would happen. Should've used an Xl camera. 2nd half shot in bright daylight in New Braunfels. I may try to have it...

Re: Expired kodachrome 40 film
If your K40's been stored cold you could get fair B&W reversal or good sepia tone. But best bet is indeed negative. If you have a dark bathroom you could process it yourself in a bucket. It produces some pretty funky film... A LOMO tank is of course great if you can get a 15m tank.

Re: Ferrania hope to start film manufacture in 2014
I think the idea would be to spurn new life in the format...and bring in new users. Hopefully, the 10,000 would produce work that would make video producers jealous and want them to try film production for the "elusive film look" . Now here is an area where millions of hipsters everywhere...

Re: What reversal Super8 films do you use?
I'm hoping during my sabbatical year I get a chance to hit the European continent this fall and possibly go visit Kahl and Wittner in person. If I have the $cratch I'm bringing back a suitcase full of good filmstocks!

Re: What reversal Super8 films do you use?
I missed out on E100D, unless anyone has some they want to sell me at a reasonable price? :D I have a 4-5 carts of E64T on ice along with 6 Carts of ELA594 Sound. And one cart of Svema I think I'll shoot something funky and process in Caffenol. I'll probably pick up a case of E200D from John S. and ...

Another very cool W I D E film! Very rich contrast. What stock to you shoot?
I have a Singer 16D anamorphic for my Elmo ST1200HD I'm trying to figure out how to adapt it to a couple of my cameras for the W I D E look! My main interest is scenic/ time lapse.

Re: Canon 1014XL-S Purchased & Returned. SELL ME YOURS!
That same guy just bought that nizo and a crystal sync 1014xls for $230 off eBay. I've bought/ sold dozens of great cameras on eBay. More often than not, they're in excellent order. The last one I bought was not thoroughly described. It might have been okay, but given I'm going to be out and about ...

Very nice looking camera. But unless it's recently been CLA's. $600 is pretty steep.kuparikettu wrote:Here's one: http://www.cinematography.com/index.php ... =62721&hl=

Blast from the Past CHAS @ My house, Portland, OR
It's been nearly 5 years since I moved to a little place out in the sticks called Iowa Colony (Rosharon) Texas about 40 min south of Houston. While I've enjoyed the privacy (I often joke about "blowing $h!+ up in my back yard"), being 2281 miles away from the ex-wife, recapturing some of m...
