Re: soon: Ektachrome 100 D by Kodak from Kodak in Super-8

As long as I can continue to feed my projectors. I've not shot 64 0r 100 to date so I can't formulate an opinion on how happy I'll be reflecting back upon the days of K40.

Re: Can you sync a projector for 23.976fps?

Hi Konton, You may want to go over to the 8mm tech forum: http://8mmforum.film-tech.com/ A gentleman there by the name of Pedro sells an external sync box that is used in conjunction with the Elmo GS1200 ESS feature. ESS is an external frame advance/timing input port. The Pedro unit can be used to s...

Re: Personal animation project....

I'm stopping by for a lotto ticket tonight after work (I do this several times throughout the year whenever I'm feeling foolish enough to give away a $1). If I win your budget is solved.

Nice work, can't wait to see the final product.

Re: Macro lens for telecine

Tom, I thought that I read on another thread here that you had originally used the Raynox on an HV30 prior to you current configuration. If so, how well did the HV30 work in this configuration in macro capture mode? I was finally able to get my HV20 working with the Workprinter. Perserverance pays o...

Re: Macro lens for telecine

Roger, Yes I did, thanks, and I sent you one back. I hope things are going well for you down there. Your winter had to be better than ours. I've a fridge full of K40 to use up or part with this summer before processing at Dwayne's dries up....that'll keep the Workprinter busy next winter. 8O ...

Re: Macro lens for telecine

Big Worm Nice write up on your conversion. In your write up you mention the HV30/40 series Canon in addition to your HF200. The HF200 is capable of 15X zoom, the HV30/40 (like my HV20) is only capable of 10X zoom optical. Nice thing about the HV series is the 43mm filter thread, no adapter ring requ...

Re: Macro lens for telecine

Sweet mod! I've an older Workprinter (prism intact) that for the life of me I can not get it to work with my Canon HV20 HD camera with a 1.7X telephoto lens. I can never pull good focus. I realize that 14x zoom is recommended on the older workprinters and that my Canon only sports a 10x zoom, howeve...

Re: Need advice for DIY 8mm telecine

I too used to use the film off the wall technique for telecine. However I moved the projector and video capture camera close to the wall and used the short end of the projector lens. I was trying to capture a brighter average picture without capturing a hot spot in the middle of the image. This work...

Paul Staccato or something like that, his monicar photo had him in flightsuit. You watch I just butchered the crap out of his name now he'll come...

Re: Diy telecine unit

I have DodCap version 1.36 and a purchase order for the license key. I swapped PCs last year and haven't reloaded DodCap yet and had forgotten the name CineCap existed. I just installed on my laptop to make sure I could still license the software, tada, it worked. Is there anyway for valid users to ...

Re: Kodachrome 40 Sound

If you've kept it chilled all this time you'll probably see no I'll affects. Last year I shot numerous carts of silent K40 that had been stored since the early 90s. They all developed fine. Those carts I received from an Australian via a tip from a fellow Filmshooting member. Those carts ran beautif...
