B/W processing questions

I recently bought a russian processing tank and chemicals from Russian Cine Cameras. The problem that I am experiencing, though, is with the processing times. First, the processing kit was a black and white reversal OCH-S-PRO. The instruction manual is here. I know the basic steps of processing reve...

I saw Superman Returns at an Imax theater. I love those places because they pay attention to things like focus and keeping the projection gate clean. I agree with reflex, the IMAX theatres really make an effort to present a film as well as possible. I was going to see Superman Returns at a new IMAX...

I leave my iMac on, because I use it a lot. For my other computers (ie. the computers i just kept after I upgraded to new machines so that I didn't have to transfer my old files) I just turn them off. I might not use them for weeks at a time. However, my Apple //e still gets used every few days. Sam...

I know I'm the only guy left saying this, but digital cameras are craziness. Actually, you're wrong. I will add my opinion by saying that digital cameras are craziness too. After you pay $400 dollars for a digital camera and printer dock, at least $40 for a better memory card, and spend even more m...

My kodak Ektasound 245 has manual threading. It is also sprocketless, has sound, and has not eaten any film. BUT, it only records on the main track. I do not know the quality of kodak projectors, but mine still works. camera_wizard

I hate that they are discontinuing a stock already too slow and replacing it with a slower stock. I want only two speeds: ASA 160 and ASA 40. My only light meter is built into my camera and only works at these speeds. Of cours, I would like to see some stocks about 5 ASA faster to compensate for my ...

K II in sound carts....though if I understand the timing correctly that technically wouldn't be a stock from the past because K II was scrapped in 1973 and sound carts were introduced in 1974. Then why does the manual for my sound camera have a picture of a KII sound cart? Not Kodak, but personaly ...

I would like to have a fresh roll of Ektachrome 160 type G. ASA160 in daylight and tungsten. To bad almost all of the rolls are outdated and bad(except for ones kept in the freezer).

I just got a sound striper that I bought today. I am wondering if you can use regular film cement, or if you need special cement for it.
