bolex 18-5 rebuild
Hi, i'm rebuilding my bolex 18-5 since its gears were full of dust and absolutely needed some cleaning... Now i'm looking for the right grease to use. I've noticed that the claw mechanism is lubricated with graphite grease... but other parts such as some plastic gears are full of a sort of red-brown...

two different bolex 18-5...
...i've bought another Bolex 18-5 regular8 projector, i think it's an earlier model, it has a strange lamp (with the same socket of the "spaceman") and a third sprocketed roller :-) My previous projector had only two sprocket rollers (before and after the film gate) but this one has two ro...

Re: developing 7363 as negative
Finally yesterday i've found how to develop the 7363 as negative :-) I've tried Ilford Microphen 1+3 for 8min at ~26°C Film was rated as 12ASA. It came out very nice! The images are pretty high contrasted in sunny days, but with cloudy the results are a bit smoother... Here's some pics, i'm sorry...

beaulieu diopter correction
Hi, while i've found that my MAR8G works correctly with 625 cells (only slight exposure compensation is needed: about a half-stop), i can't focus correctly, because of some problems in the viewfinder. Probably there's something wrong with the diopter correction, it seems to work only in one directio...

Re: Beaulieu MAR 8 Light Meter Battery
I've just bought a Beaulieu MAR8 G, with the Gossen lightmeter
Unfortunately there's no user guide, so i don't know which type of cells are needed for the exposure meter... maybe the PX13 mercury cells?

Re: another very sad day...
I think the Bolex 18-5 is a better unit in every respect...they made to types - one for super 8 and one for regular 8. Talk about a smooooth sewing machine...it just purrs. Even has the extra cord to automatically douse the lights when the unit is turned on. I have the 18-5L Super with the 12v 75w ...

...i've bought a cinovid but unfortunately the film pressure pad is missing
I think i've bought another piece of junk.
Is it possible to find a solution, maybe a replacement or something?
I've asked the seller if he can find it somewhere...

Re: Yashica 38 mm. f/1.4
Finally i've bought the Cine Yashinon 38mm f/1.4!
It seems very well built and full open is also quite good, while my wollensak 1,5" f/1.5 is instead a bit soft :o
I wonder if there is also a 12.5mm Cine Yashinon...

Re: leicina 8S filters
Hey, do they fit into Bolex B8 lenses? (Yvar 13mm and 36mm, D-mount). I'd like to try Kodachrome 40 in the B8 and I need the 85 for colour correction, but I have no idea of what diameter to look for... Unfortunately i don't know :( I've got a paillard filter holder #1285 on my switar 12.5mm f/1.5, ...
