Cartridge Notches: That's something to check....But the exposure was absoluley spot on..The colours are so rich....I have no complaints about that. Once I shot some K40 from a Park over looking the Manhatten Skyline on a Sunny day and the footage was so so grainy. The same day I shot some K40 at nig...

Sounds good.....When I read the posts on this site I am always amazed at the waelth of knowledge available....i learn something new everyday. But I still think the Vision 2 demos were generally unremarkable...considering the Hype some of the Reps gave out. But then I can't think what is was i wanted...

Digital Box for a Super-8 camera

A couple of years ago a company revealed a Digital capture device the size of a roll of 35mm film that would fit inside a 35mm Camera, to save you buying a Digital camera. There's much more space in a Super-8 camera for such a device...I hope this idea doesn't revolt anyone out there....But it would...

I think I was hoping for something more exciting. I remember the build up from Kodak over this New Vision range but it was mainly hype. I found the DVD on the 16mm and 35mm tests to be nit picking in revealing the changes. My Nalcoms proved a great camera for years...But I hate getting things servic...

i'm so dumb when it comes to computers. I'll make a still and try and log on tonight from my Mac and up load something if I can figure out how...I'll get my Bro to help. I bet the thickness of the stock was the problem. Strangley when I desqueeze the Anamorphic image the Reg. becomes more acceptable...

Disappointment with new Vision 2 200T

I've just got back the results of some Vision 2 200T in Super-8 Maybe in 16mm or 35mm the grain size is reduced but I can't see any difference between this and the Vision 200T super-8 (Except for the nice packaging) I filmed in perfect lighting on a summers day. The colours we're punchy but the regi...

LCD

I've used 7218 500T at 25fps at f.2.8 using a 25mm lens. Depth of field was 3 inches past the screen I think and 2 inches in front. The 7218 gives a even fine grain low contrast look without hot spot. However I did also black board my entire laptop to avoid flare on the image. To see the results.......

Shooting film

I'm shooting a narrative film on the new 7218 and 7217 in scope. Shot in London and Brighton. I'm transferring stuff to Mini-DV and editing in iMovie which is a great editing program with little fuss and not too many FX. The final format will be a 16mm Anamorphic print with optical sound. It's my fi...

MORE SUPER-8

As if there isn't enough on this forum. Enjoyed 'The Interesting Book cover' but I prefere the ISCO-OPTIC Anamorphic Girl lounging on a Beach in a wet swinsuit...Is that too much discription...Super-8 was so un P.C back then. CH4 are repeating CHEERS at the moment and I tuned into an espisode where ...
