Re: KODAK REMOVES REMJET FOR FUTURE VISION STOCKS

I also saw this. Anyone doing development or run labs who'd like to comment?

Seems Kodak invested a lot of tech/development into this. Would be very interested to know if the charecteristics of films change and in what way for us the filmshooters. :)

Re: Wolfen colour neg film from Orwo

I like the look of the Wolfen films.

Would be nice to know what cameras were used for the different films.

I notice several of the films seems overexposed, burnt out whites. Guessing notching/automatic iso rather than overexposed during scanning.

thanks for posting.

Re: What’s happening in 3 days?

Thanks, I'm all good again. Took me 2 months for the pain to let go. Anyways, been working on things today (upgrades, styels etc). More to come, will keep on working so I can do a relaunch soon. (sorry for the ever extended delays.. it's just life that gets in the way :) )

Yeah, I've been playing around with this also. It is a good tool to summarize information on a specific topic.

Wolfen colour neg film from Orwo

Hi,
Anyone experimented with the new Wolfen film from Orwo? What I see online is a beauiful color negative film with a lovely warm "brownish tint" to it.

I know Wittner have made super8 carts with the film which is great. 16mm and 35mm are available directly from Orwo also it seem.

Re: cause of the high number of views?

Hi AJ :)

Probably mostly bots. I'm going to set up analytics again to do some research on this. Lately Amazon, Bing, Google etc are the most active bots it seems, but the report is not complete so I don't know exactly.

Yeah - agreed, so much great information in this forum that people have ...

Rest in peace S8 Booster!

Vidar Backmann, aka S8 Booster was one of the original and most active members of this forum. Re: What’s happening in 3 days?

Well, it was extended some 14 days (broke some ribs skateboarding a week ago and could hardly move - better now and back to work).

Finally doing a re-launch of the filmshooting website (The counter is some fancy maintenance mode plugin).

Hang in there :)

Re: Tony Shapps had passed away on 10th September, 2023

Rest in peace Tony!

I remember going to London back in the late 1990s and visiting the Widescreen Centre as one of the first cine shops I ever visited. I even shot some super8 of the shop from the outside street. I bought some Svema, russian Super8 films there which I still have 1 unexposed laying ...

Hi Miles,
Unfortunatley I cannot help you, but perhaps you could provide some photos to your post so the members here can get a visual understanding of the problem/location of the screws etc?

Best of luck,
Andreas

Sounds awesome Grace! Really looking forward to see some photos of that. Actually great idea which involves less mods to the machine(s). :ymapplause:

Wonder if it was a rugpull all together, only marketing material was released... too bad. Would have been awesome to have Ferrania back from the dead.

Re: Openfilmscanner.org

Hi Jörg!
Yes, I belive that was my domain, but I suspect you're actually referring to another site, openscannerproject.org or somthing? I only held the domain, never used it.

Perhaps archive.org has some cached versions of it?

Best,
Andreas
