Re: Gauge Film - times slots?

Thanks, So after the deadline - next Tuesday - "All film will be developed and scanned within three weeks". Thus it's wise to organise filming to coincide with the run-up to these deadlines - or have a very long wait? This will be my first telecine (16mm) and I am itching to experiment wit...

Gauge Film - times slots?

Hi, When Gauge says: "our developing/ scanning deadline is next Tuesday at 1pm. Film in the current batch will be shipped before 1pm next Tuesday so please don't chase your film if it falls within our schedule" - how does that work out in practical terms please? So I sent a film in today, ...

Re: 16mm Foma developing?

Thanks, I have approx 2.5 litre bottles marked up, so that I can pour neat chemicals in then top up with water. That does me for 2x Lomo tanks = 100' film. https://scontent.flhr2-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/35629407_664623380569537_3538941180890841088_n.jpg?_nc_cat=0&oh=15effec2372e5b232c4ed3660b38...

Re: 16mm Foma developing?

At the considerable risk of being accused of having a dog & barking. :O3

Rooting through cupboards I discovered that my b/w cine film developing bottles are 2.5L so mystery solved, I have enough Foma chemicals for two 50ft Lomos, with chemical to spare ;)

16mm Foma developing?

Hi, Suddenly forgot the finer points of Lomo developing :-o . It's been a while. My Foma kit (1 Litre) will develop 30m of 16mm Foma film, but I have to split the film into two 50ft Lomo spirals. Hate doing this, get it slightly out and you have a massive tail wagging from one of the spirals. Just w...

Eumig 8mm projector sprockets?

Hi, After a home-move I find I am with Standard 8 sprockets for my Eumig Mark S 807D projector but the Super 8 sprockets have disappeared. Up the river without a paddle. Are there interchangeable sprockets for this Eumig series please - such as the 800, 802 and 810D Eumigs? If I can't find Super8 sp...

Kern Vario-Switar f/3.5 17-85mm filter thread?

Hi,

What is the filter thread size of the Kern Vario-Switar f/3.5 17-85mm bayonet fitting zoom lens please?

This is also the thread that the lens hood screws into - I estimate around 40mm?

Re: Bolex SBM Cable Release?

Does anyone still shoot 16mm here?

Took the SBM out in the wilds yesterday to test the light meter - it works - and the cable release: no problem.

Roll on summer!

Re: 16mm

I'd use the Krasnagorsk K3 a lot if it wasn't such a pig to load, I just like the feel of the camera. The Bolex H16 / SBM is a dream to load in comparison, I'm having to learn filming all over again since the upgrade - what the hell - anything's better than video.

Re: Bolex SBM Cable Release?

From what I can work out, the 'key' which fits into the side slot protrudes too much, so it hits the back of the slot, giving no space for it to go back any further. That means the key can't align with the slot and turn - the SBM side-slot is not deep enough. Update. It wasn't the key, it was the so...
