Erhm, not sure what you've seen, but I couldn't see any evidence of that!? As a backer of this from the outset they tend to update us and I've not heard that they have got that far yet. I'm sure they would be singing and dancing if they had!

Ben

Re: Kodak Film Prices
If you thought those prices were crazy, here in the UK, the new Ektachrome is being offered for around £54 including VAT, some even higher. That's nearly $69 at the lower price! I remember buying Kodachrome 10 carts at a time for under a tenner a roll and that was process paid in the early Noughties...

ITV Leeds film equipment
Hi folks, Sorry it's been ages since I've posted here! I know this sounds like a "for sale", but this is just a heads-up about an auction here in the UK for a selection of kit that ITV are selling off. Included in the lots are a number of narrow gauge film items along with some bigger stuf...

Re: DYI optical printer w/ film camera + digital projector.
Hia, I know this is a bit of a delayed response (been off list for some time) but I have had good quality results using a decent LCD projector (an Epson EMP 8300 5200lm XGA) and shooting at 24 fps straight off a small keystone corrected screen using a Nizo 561m onto Kodachrome. The camera sat on top...

I think, this DI issue is a bit of a distraction to the subject here. My point is one of final projection method. You can make what is basically video seem more like film by projecting it with a film print. As I said (or at least intended to say but went off on one.) If you projector had a shutter a...

No Mike you certainly aren't the only one to notice the hideous effects that compression systems can have! Problem is, that the media machine is more concerned about how many channels it can squeeze into the limited specrum/bandwidth than quality. Or is it so that you then feel compelled to pay prem...

Hi folks, it's been a while and I've got a bit of a bee in my proverbial bonnet about this so be warned! :x  (hang on, just let me get up on my old soap box here...not quite as fit as I used to be..) The thing with digital projection, no matter how good the projector, is that the image is goin...

...sometimes words seem so inadequate to encapsulate a feeling or situation. John's passing away will be burned into my memory like an image is onto Kodachrome. His legacy will be that he made such a contribution to the industry and never was there a more dedicated person than John it seems, so open...

Hia, You'll possibly have problems with adding filters if you are going to use the camera under water. There will be an air gap between the lens and the filter which will firstly affect the field of view due to refraction differnces, may partially leak and look horrid and also may crack the filter i...

Hi, I think maybe you have got the German company AgfaPhoto mixed up with the Belgian Agfa-Gevaert. The first is no longer in business and sold stills film whilst the second is still very much in business and is offering motion picture products in its line-up. HOWEVER, these are PRINT FILMS only, su...

Hia, Sorry been away from PC land for a bit. This thing is WAY more than just a video tap. You can't really compare it to strapping a pen-cam to the viewfinder as it has motion sensing in nine zones for triggered shots, programmable timelapse, B settindg and more! I too hate paying much for cameras ...

TFT Viewfinder???
Hi all, Just browsing through my copy of Practical Photography this month and noticed a little gadget called the Zigview Digital Angle finder... Now this little device clips onto the viewfinder of an SLR and gives you an adjustable TFT screen as a display, but there's more too! It has seriously comp...
